As a Senegalese artist who grew up between Ethiopia, Senegal and France, my drawings have as main theme identity. Identity through the prism of history, identity through the prism of culture, as well as identity through the prism of emotions and the internal journey of men and women. A kind of quest that allows me to explore various subjects where I mix my different influences.

Through my artworks, there is, in a certain way, a constant analysis of the human being, a need to understand him, and a search for restitution of the fruit of my reflections, but also a need to exteriorize the emotional charge that I accumulate in contact with human complexity, kind of a therapy.

After trying various techniques, I had a revelation around 2012 drawing with ballpoint pens, the artistic creation with this medium also called Biro art (named after László Biró the Hungarian inventor of the ballpoint pen). Since then I almost only use pens to draw, enhanced from time to time with touches of gold leaf, watercolor, POSCA or ink markers.
